Hello all,
We just bought a 1991 Bridgeport Interact 421X VMC with Fanuc OM-F conversational control. I was told by a friend that we might need to get a technician in to set up the machine for DNC. We don't have the machine here yet, just wondering if anybody has experience in setting up a control like this.

I have't heard of an F controller, this is maybe from Bridgeport; well,first you must check if your control does have the option to run under DNC (drip feed mode), usually 0MC and 0MD have this option, but sometines 0MA and 0MB doesn't have it. You will have to test it in tape mode and search for the DNC bit to see if it turns on. If this option is "open" then the rest is easy, make the cable and configure the parameters.
