    TM1 faults

I have a 2000 TM1, yesterday I was getting a spindle cable fault during operation and machine would shut down, today I'm getting a 146 y limit switch, 165 and 166 zero ret margin too small. When reset it may run 10 parts and it may run 3.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated

do you have any chips down in the limit switch housing on the left side of the casting under the machine table?

Check all the cable connectors for the Y axis and spindle to make sure they are tight; things can rattle loose.

Also check for a sticking limit switch on the Y axis; this can give the zero return margin error if it is gummed up and moves slowly.
An open mind is a virtue...so long as all the common sense has not leaked out.

Thanks, I will check all connections, on limit switch I have taken it apart and cleaned it.
