    zigzag toolpath

Is there a way in Mastercam 9 to have the first cut feedrate different from the main feedrate? The same question pertaining to the traverse cut feedrate to the main feedrate.

To do this manually is to time consuming.

    Thank You

    zigzag toolpath

    Hi,

I was just refering to the 2d pocketing and the 3d pocketing. I like a zigzag pattern for roughing. But the feedrate needs to be slower on the first cut and on the traverse cut.

I have seen cam systems with this option. I was hoping Mastercam had it and I just did not know where to find it or if there was a easy work around.

    Thank You

Ramp entry allows you to use a plunge rate or feed rate but as far as changing the travers cut, right click on the pocket in the op manager and go to toolpath editor atthe bottom of the list, this will allow you to change feed and speed from point to point.
