    Connecting DRO to parallel port

    Hi all,

I have the easson DRO system. I would like to use the encoders outputs as an inputs to my PC's parallel port.
I couldn't find any document that describes the DB-9 connectors pinout or any other informatiom about electrical compatibility (all I know that it is a TTL compatible).

Does anyone here have a pinout diagram?
Do I need to add an electrical convertor?

    Thanks in advance,
    Zvika

If you look at the www.Lindsayengraving.com version, it shows transistor buffers, I have experimented with the TTL line driver encoders and scales, direct in to the port, seems to work better.
Note the other site link and the modern choices of Parallel port modes under Windows.
If buffers are needed, I prefer the 2N7000 Fet.
BTW DB9 is usually serial RS232?
