118 is my guess. It's open, so I'll grab it is the only reason.

Sounds kinda like what I did, although yours looks a lot neater than mine. I copied the picture into Photoshop and drew red lines on it for each component. I then went back and counted them, placing a black dot on each one as I counted to make sure that I counted each one only once. I think mine was prety close to yours, although much sloppier. Unfortunately, I did not save it since I didn't think I would need it again.

Took me close to 2 hours also. Worth it though to ge a better chance at winning. Before I did this I tried counting several times, but would loose track of which ones I had already counted.

Do the PCB and heatsink count as components (i.e. all the parts to make the G250)?

    Thanks,

Ah,.. Any chance you might want to work at Geckodrive?:-)

I'm impressed by your logical method of solving the problem by constructing an innovative solution that quickly converges on the answer. It was so good I superimposed your thumbnail under the actual G250 artwork and it will show just how close you actually came after the contest is over.
Oh.. Thank you, I am flattered!

While doing that I can feel how good the designer is, the high orderliness of the design shows that. I believe that I've learn something just by drawing the overlay.

About working at Geckodrive, you are joking right?

    Best Regards, Ichan.

PS: I put some questions for you on Geckodrive yahoo group yesterday, have you see it?
