    Bridgeport/ROMI EZ Path Lathe

I do not have possession of this machine yet but will soon. I was wondering if anybody has tried/been successful in getting a CAM to talk to the controller. I use MasterCam but do not have a seat for lathe so I'd like to get some input from experienced folks before I go down that road.

    TIA

I've used cam for an Ezpath SD (the last version made) without any problems, I used feature cam, but really the Control is conversational and so easy to program you don't need to cam it. I think I actually have an Ezpath post for Mastercam 9 but I don't have a lathe licence to give you.
Let me know if you have any questions about the control or programming.

Thanks - the people over at EMI also have a solution so between you and EMI I think I will be covered.

Mastercam and Bobcad have posts for EZPath. I was and still am a Service Tech for
Bridgeport, Hardinge, Cincinnati, Mori Seiki, Lagun, Trumph, Daiwoo, Shizouka, Kuraki,
Takisawa and Mitsubishi (I have worked for a half dozen different distributors). I can even help you with a Tosnac. Which means I've been factory trained for Fanuc, Siemens, Heidenhein, Yakawa, Mitusbishi, Okuma, Trumph Vectormark, and ESAB. I also have training on Webb - yes, I'm older than dirt. If you don't get carried away - the answers are free.

bridgeport ROMI lathe problems--I need help !!!

I have a problem where the machine will power up as normal, the machine references as normal, I can then rapid the saddle, load a program etc but the spindle will not start.
You can hear the brake release when the start button is pressed.
The rpm comes up on the screen as I turn the chuck manually.
I can manually operate the contactor and the motor runs.
Guard relays show all lights as they should
On the AUF board LED D11 is solid on and D12 is pulsing?? any ideas?? Please

I would suggest you start another thread with some specific info on the machine in question. We have three ez-path lathes and they are all a bit different, the powerpath is a totally different animal.
