    Haas rotary/indexer controller protection

    Hi,
We have Haas rotary/indexer controller box and some of the parameters are protected. Is there any way to unlock the protections. I know that you have to call Hass to get ther code. Is there any way without call ing them? Any formula?
    Thanks

parameter 30 times 1027 then convert to hexadecimal then invert the last 2 pairs to the right of numbers ie: if you end up with 1b52then make it 521b then take this number and convert to decimal then type the result into parameter 30 immediately goto parameter 24 and subtract 8 to keep the lock off.

I couldn't get this to work. I have an old box from 2004. It has 5 digits in the parameters and I keep getting an 8 digit code with this formula.

I am having the same problem as Steve.s
Can anyone tell us how to do this on an older unit with no letters on the keyboard and only 5 digits in the parameter?

    Thanks

    Hi
I need to modify parameter 20. but this procedure does not work for me.

-- I convert the value in parameter 30 to hexadecimal
-- in the hexadecimal number I move the two digits as you explain
-- I convert the new hexadecimal number to decimal
-- the decimal number is written in parameter 30 (but writing it does not keep the value)
-- and in parameter 24 it does not allow me to modify the value

    regards
