    Bit confused

I have a new 3 axis Stepper Motor driver board, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...MEWN:IT&ih=013

I was going to buy 3 Nema 17 stepper motors, with 9.4v and 400ma per motor, will these work with the drive and if they do what power and current will i need for the board.

Im sorry for this question, I have only dealt with full packages before and although Im asking a lot of someone I would genuinely appreciate it.

    Thanks.

The motors would most likely run with that board. But if you plan on using them on a machine, I'd look for bigger motors with a lower voltage rating. The best motors for a drive like that would be something around 2-2.5amps, with the lowest voltage possibly. And regardless of motors, you'll probably want to use a 24V supply, of about 6-10 amps.

    Sorry, confused again lol

I have 4 terminals and a 8 wire stepper motor, I cannot for the life of me work out what to do.

I thought to connect the red wire to the red & white wire with no connection to the board, is that right?

    Thanks in advance.

    No.

You can wire it either parallel or series. Not entirely sure, but I think it's like this:

    Parallel

    A - Blu/Whi and Red/Whi
    A# - Blu and Red
    B - Grn/Whi and Blk/Whi
    B# - Grn and Blk

As I said, I'm not 100% sure about this. I'd contact the people you bought them from to make sure. If you wire them incorrectly, you'll destroy your drive instantly.

    Series

    A - Blu/Whi
    A# - Red
Tie the Blue and Red/Whi together
    B - Grn/Whi
    B# - Blk
Tie the Grn and the Blk/Whi together

Thank you very much, the wiring seems to have worked a treat, I couldnt understand that particular wiring diagram.

I now have to find out why the motors pulse every few seconds and then I'm sorted.

Next time I'm going to buy the full package instead of going for the cheap option lol

Once again thank you for your help.
