    ok

Try this test,Open up newlydraw. Type your name, using the text button in the tool bar at the top. You can leave it to cut, the letters are red. If you want to engrave, switch to engrave mode, letters are black, top left in tool bar. At the top left of the tool bar are X, Y measurements. These are the locations on the cutting table. Click on the engrave tab in the tool bar. When that window comes up, set your power and speed. Click the engrave tab. Let me know what it does.

    Hello

I have a hx40a and newlydraw to make stamps and it works very well.

    you say : "power set to 30 percent\speed 250"

So I think you didn't selected the good laser in the "engrave" panel. Didn't you selected the "rabbit 30/40" insted of "rabbit40"? (I'm not sure of the exat names because i'm not at work)

    my setup for stamps :

    - first pass:
    scan speed : 10
    laser setup to 10 mA

    -second pass :
    I add a stroke of 1mm everywere
    scan speed : 10
    laser : 10 mA

excuse for my english, I'm french

I have been struggling with newlydraw and my hx3040 making rubber stamps.

How do you set the steps for letter support (shoulders) in newlydraw?

below is an illustration from another program:

    hi,
from your words, you set the power 30 percent in the Newlydraw,
it is okay for engraving, but the speed, it is better you can have a try with 100-125
about the auto power or manuel, it is controled by a switch at the right side wall of the working box whenyou facing the machine.
better you can contact miss green and she or their tech should be able to help you with the problem.
    Good luck.

    Hi CanAm,
For the hx3040 making rubber stamps,
how do you mean to set the steps for the letter support in newlydraw ?
generally, it is easy and automatically, no need any extra operation settings.
so you are facing problem in your working with the Newlydraw,
have a look at the Rabbit company web, there is a vedio for showing you how to start working with a mini laser machine.
    http://www.rabbitlaser.com/products/40avideo.htm
    it is easy. Good luck.
