hel with DC motor drive connections

    Hello

I recently bought two KBLC19 6amps DC motor drives on ebay. Both came with and overboard control board called Peco model 5900-800-01 wich I was unable to find any manuals or connection diagrams on the web

That Peco control board arealy came with speed potentiometer, but I need to know about the forward/reverse and fast/slow connections on it...
I guess for the fwd/rev I should connect a switch betwen the 'fwd/rev' and the 'commom' wire. But as a newbie I'm afraid of burning out the controller if my theory is not correct

So please someone give me any advice on this. Attached to this post is an photo of the controler

    Thanks!

It would appear the fast/slow fwd/rev and inhibit are just active low/high with respect to the common terminal, IOW open would be one condition and connection to common would be the second.
The other four look like 2/power in 2/motor .

thanks Al, I will connect that way and see what happens
now just one more question on these controlers... is the 'inhibit' function a dynamic brake for the motor?

Not usually, it often just turns off the drivers and the motor free wheels.

    Hey Al,

I was hoping to get you to look at the above picture one more time and tell me what exactly the overboard does. "is it needed for total efficiency of this board?".
I can figure out the wiring if I remove the overboard but with all the other connections that are on the PECO board I am lost. The 20 pin=10pin fast /10pin slow? like this [::::::::::] have me confused. I have been unable to find a schematic to this board so I was hoping to get some help from you.
And thanks to "leandrot" for the use of your picture.
    Thank You,
    Bruce

The board does not show up in the KB list of options for this model, It appears to be an after-market board, it appears to have an analog output so I am not sure what function the board is supposed to achieve?
Generally the one used is a analogue signal isolation board or 3rd party PWM to analogue.

Ok, So I am guessing I could probably connect it up with the PECO board removed just like the MC-60 treadmill control board as the connections on the base board are layed out the same. L1, L2, common, P1, P2, P3 and then two other connections that would be the DC output. Would you semi-agree with that statement?
    Thank You,
    Bruce
