    Question PIERCE PLASMA help?

hi, we started working on PIERCE RUR 2500 some months ago.
unfortunately, it isn´t reliable as our seller promised.
anyway, WRYKRYS, the soft to prepare grafics for cutting is terrible.
therefore,we´ve to create shapes in other program, because it´s faster, but
when we import to wrykrys /from solidworks, autocad or coreldraw/
    it´s disaster :-)
destorsion, raw grafics, even shot down is everyday reality.
i´ve heard about gibbscam or Command'n Cut sofware/ works with
    coreldraw/
is there any simple and reliable program, for cutting standart and
artistic shapes on plasma cutter please?
any tips or suggestion is welcomed.
    thanks !

Please look at the DXFTool and SheetCAM

    Hi,

Go to http://www.candcnc.com and look at the DXFTool for CorelDRAW. When used with CorelDRAW V12 - X3 and SheetCAM you have a really great plasma cutting solution.

hi, thanks for yout tip with DFXTool.
very nice solution, if it works.
unfortunately, we´ve tried demo version with very bad result.
i´m sorry, because i work with coreldraw every day :-)
a friend, who works with it was very dissapointed.

i´ve found today the fact, that he installed dfxtools properly,
but the program refuse to cooperate with coreldaw,
permanent error.he informed vendor about it, never get any answer.

i think, the main problem is with post processor to our plasma.
our machine was presented as north american product with
    cnc high quality cutting.
lately we found, that wasn´t quite true.
in the states they normaly use different softs, not mentioned advanced TNC control, which is pathetic here.
anyway, thanks alot for interest, and hope to hear from you soon.

    Hi,

The product on that forum has no relationship to the DXFTool for CorelDRAW. If your installation is non-english the DXFTool won't install with the installer but it can be installed manually. Can you quote the permanant error that you got?

    hi,
thanks for your time and interest.
my friend´s been very busy, so i got just some guidelines about his problems with dfxtool.
you´re right, the topic of the forum had no relationship to the DXFTool for CorelDRAW, i just added a similar troubleshooting.
today, i´ve decided to install the demo version, and find out by myself.
the instalation went fine, but when i wish to export and save via dfxtool some error no.13 appears
any idea, what does it mean?
    thanks

Hi, is the drawing folder or any other folder set to read-only? I am sending you a PM with my email address, I would like to have a look at that drawing if I can, this is a new error.

We have been doing decorative plasma cutting for years with CorelDraw and SheetCAM. The introduction of DXFTools solved a problem with the segmented DXF exports from the CorelDraw export filter, BUT DXFTool won't fix a DXF that is already broken (like from an import into CorelDraw). What it will do is let you use the power of CorelDraw and all it's import and vector editing/drawing tools and give you nice smooth arcs and circles. The POST for sheetcam is dependent on what you have (or do not have) as a THC. For MACH there are several cost effective solutions.
