Fanuc OM-D can a floppy be added?

I have a Faunuc OM-D control on my machine, I have had alot of problems with Rs 232 communications since the machine was new. Can a floppy drive be added fairly easy, and does anyone know which connector it goes to on the board. The RS 232 connects through M5/M74, would the floppy drive have to go through one of these or is it a different connector altogether?

Even of you add a floppy drive, you will still be using RS232 (M5, M74) since there are no dedicated ports for floppy drive.
