Cat 40 collet tool holder question

    Hi,

I'm looking into getting some collet tool holders for my mill. However, through my search I have found many different types. Er-32, er-40 TG-100 and TG-150. Can anyone tell me the difference in these and which are better. I have a milltronics cnc and will mostly be machining aluminum.

Stick with the ER series - 16 or 32 are the most popular. ER-16 collets go from around 1/6" - 3/8" and the ER-32 collets go from around 3/32" - 3/4". Over 3/4" you need to go to the ER-40. series

Thanks for the advice. I think I'll go with the 40 series then
