Partner VM16 series A stuck in dos

Here's what happened. I sent a file from my computer that was too large for the memory, when it filled the memory, the machine shut down, and the screen went to dos, and said that you need to power down and back up to restart the controller. Did this, and it took forever to boot up. When it did come up, it went directly into dos. Can I delete the program file while in dos to free up memory? Will the software start when I power down/up the machine after doing this? HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New to milltronics.

if you delete the g-code file from the dos prompt that should not hurt anything.

use the dir command to see the directories,
use the cd command to change directory and
use the del command to delete the file.

    generally the directory like below:

usually the directory like below if you install a hard disk:
    A: \ROM
    B:\RAM\
    C:\PARTS\ (HARD DRIVE)
    D:\ (FLOPPY)
    E:\ (GRAPHICS)

you could delete the program at the directory of C:\PARTS\
but the directory different as the different machine, you could find the correcttion directory as single phase said.
Any question alright? I glad to reply for you!
