    mastercam9 and toshiba notebook

    bought one with a pentium4 and 512 of ram and it wont work it slows it down so bad i have an ati video card in it that may be the problem duz anyone have any tricks that i might be able to do to make it work

    see if you can hack it into a "FireGl" card




    what chipset do you have in the laptop?

    Turn all your hardware accel off while running MC with an ATI card. I've got an ATI on a Sony Vaio with all accel off and it works good except for some cursor 'ghosts' once in a while.

    Master Cam settings

    Another thing that helps bunches is to set Master Cam's system allocations higher than the defaults. Out of the box, they are set notoriously low. This helped my system a lot.
