    Force toolchange ???

I have recently (3 days ago) changed from Mastercam to Edgecam so after 10 years of mastercam im still rewiring my brain, i mostly got all the basics of it, but there is still one thing bothering me ... how can i force a toolchange between to Ops with the same tool ? Any good ideas?

    Thanks

I know you can force tool change between tools in the prefrences, but as far as between ops on same tool you have to click the rapid to toolchange button.
No matter how good you are, there is always someone better!!!

Hei!! thanks a lot .. heheh, the "get a bigger hammer" idea, actualy works !!

i can do the toolchange , no problems .. but i do it the ardest way possible,
    -move to toolchnge
    -T01 tool call
    -cycle
    -move to toolchnge
    -T01 tool call
    -cycle
    .
    .
    .
if i use the same tool 20 times then i have to insert the tool 20 times
and if i need to change that tool ,then i have to change 20 tools

Why do you need to do a tool change move if your using the same tool?

We do this too - it's so you can move the tool somewhere safe if you need to change an insert.

Time to fiddle with the post processor I think - you need to force output.
Go into the code constructor and find the 'turret toolchange' section under code constructors. You'll see code in there along the lines of [TURRETNO][LENGHTOFFSET]

If you right-click on those, you'll see the option to 'force output now'. What that'll do is make the post always throw that code out, whether it's already in effect (modal) or not.
