    I have not been able to find information on this automatic zero/ height method

    [ame="http://youtube.com/watch?v=ENoIdEcxeFc&feature=related"]YouTube - Three axis zero procedure[/ame]

    Can someone show me the thread that describes how to do this, or please explain it to me in terms a 10 year old can understand?

    I would greatly appreciate it. I need to know what program to put into mach three to autoposition like it is doing and also need to understand the electrical circuit, along with where those wire's go on the parrallel chord to the computer for the power and feedback.

    Quick easy method of zero a bit

    (chair)(chair)I have tried also with the auto-zero,,, and failed

    I use a simpler method for engraving small flat surfaces,that requre 2-bit changes.

    I usually use smalll bits 1/4 and smaller, held by 1/4 jacobs chuck.
    I simply leave the bit loose in the chuck , jog over close to the part,,, pull/drop the bit out of the chuck down to the part until it touches, then tighten the chuck/collet while in place, hit the zero button, go-about my business.

    I found this method quicker-simple-more accurate than the " jog down untill it grabs the paper" method

    Do not make things more difficult than you have to.

    On the contruction site the OLD GUYS would teach the greenhorns to do a task the most elaborate difficult way, then laugh to see how long it would take them to figure out how to do the project in less labor intensive way
