    When mounting a ballnut, set-screw or lock-tite?

    Hi group,

I just finished the parts for a lathe conversion. I'm getting ready to start mounting components and have a few questions I hope someone can help me with.

My ballnuts have 15/16 threaded mounting system.
Do I need to use a set-screw in the nut mount to keep it from backing out?
    OR
Can I use removable lock-tite thread locking compound?
    OR
    Is there a another way?

    Thanks,
    Jack
