Sorry for yet another "what piece of software" post!

I've just bought a Syil CNC converted Sieg X2 3 axis mill and am jumoing in at the deep end of milling, never having done any before, although I have done a lot of woodworking and have a full kitted workshop.

I've bought Mach3 and have that pretty well understood now and have milled a few sample GCode files in wood - yet to do any metal milling!

My first few projects will be to cut 2d cutout shapes in panels - electrical double gang sockets and 19" rack panels. Cutouts will be for power sockets, audio/video sockets such as BNC connectors etc - all pretty simple stuff based on circles and rectangles and drilled holes etc.

I've played with a few software packages and all seem fairly easy to get to grips with (I've used CAD and modelling apps for many years).

My question is - is there a specific CAM app that is really good for this kind of work - I was wondering if any of them have libraries of connector cutouts etc that would also make life easier?

Thanks,

Paul.
