    Vectric - Plasma CNC

We all know how great the programs are that the Vectric team offers.

I thought I would start a post (really a wish list) of things everyone would like to see in program for plasma cnc.

    1) Everything in the Vcarve Pro Drawing Tools
    2) Lead-in and lead-out
    3) Parts nesting

Please post anything else you can think of, thanks.

    Some other considerations would be:
pierce height, pierce delay, & kerf width.

Kerf compensation, inside, outside, or none.

Arc on & off is required also.
The plasma torch is not left ON when moving to a new cut location, as is done with a router spindle.

    Thanks WT,

I thought If we started a post (wishlist) about what would be needed in a plasma cnc program, that maybe the vectric team could possibly come up with something in the future for all the plasma guys, something along the lines of Vcarve Pro (except for plasma instead of routers).

Anyone else with ideas, please post

Thanks for starting the thread Switcher and the feedback WT - very interesting.

I have to be honest and say we don't know a great deal about Plasma
cutting but certainly something we can take a look at.

The control for Kerf Compensation, Lead in/out and Torch on/off when
moving are already available. So I'm wondering if adding a Plasma Torch
option to the Tool Database that included options for Dwell and Pierce Height +?? might be sufficient?

    Thanks again,

    Tony
