I have access to both Autocad 2005 and Inventor 9

I possible have a repeating project, that I need to import text from Excel.
Will either Autocad 2005 or Inventor 9 import excel?

I will have a template of many rectangles and triangular shapes, with connecting lines similar to a flow chart that needs the imported information in specific locations with specific fonts.
This drawing will then be saved and sent to my cam package to be engraved.
Is there an easy way to do this?
Is it possible to create these Rectangles and Triangles as Blocks and import the text for these "Blocks" be imported from excel?

Could a Autolisp be written to import the excel information and place it at a specific place with the specific font? I'd rather have a lisp routine.
If so where should I look to pay to have this coded.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

You can use Autolisp to read from a text file, but if you want to actually pull data from Excel I think you'll need to use VBA. If you want to use lisp, then export the data from Excel into a csv file and import that with Autolisp. It shouldn't be that hard to do, but I don't know where to find someone who writes custom Autolisp.
