Hi everybody,
Well, I tried to get information on variable lead threading using Mazatrol. I received no answers so I figure it can't be done. I also called Mazak application support and he had never heard of it being done with Mazatrol but couldn't rule it out. He suggested EIA (which we have as an option but have never used). Now I'm fairly new to Mazak but I've programmed for years on Okuma, Nakamura, and Star lathes in previous jobs. My experience with those (all using G codes only) says that our Mazak is going to want a specific layout. I'm talking about the start of the program, calling up tools, and ending the program. I can figure out the variable thread but I really don't want to crash the machine by leaving something out that it wanted.
Long story just to ask:
Can somebody post a sample EIA program for a Nexus 100 lathe with a 640T controller?
Thanks
Chris
