    BobCAD and Metric

I set and save metric as the default in BobCAD, everything works fine whilst creating a drawing, until I open Mach 3 Mill (06 06 08) or Fanuc post processor to create a G code programe, the system changes back to "inch".
I dont want to work in inches, I want to work in the dimensions of today not yesterday!!!!
    Can anyone help??

    Martin,

Which version are you using? If it is V22 you will need to download the Metric post, but if it is an older version you will need to make some changes. Let me know and I can post the approriate changes for you.

OK. So the problem is actually created from one of the Script files and here is how you can fix it:

    1. In BobCAD click on the Special/NC-CAM menu and select the Script option.
    2. In the dialog that appears select the "Fanuc6MProgStart" item.
    3. Then click on Modify. This will open notepad with some text in it.
    4. Scroll to the line that says "OptionsUnits"
    5. Change the "Unit = 25.4" to "Unit = 1".
    6. Save and close the file. This should keep it from switching units on you when you are trying to create the program.
