    Pulling the pieces together

I have been gathering parts. My electronics are starting to trickle in and I'm needing to know what cable I will need to connect the breakout board to the computer? The breakout board looks like a parallel port. Do I connect to the parallel port or serial port on the computer? Thanks for all the great info here!

    Thanks for a quick reply

I knew if I could ask the right question, someone here would give me the answer. Again many Thanks. I am now back to gathering parts!

    Will Start Assembly This Weekend!

I know it's probably considered cheating, but I ordered the kit from BuildYourCnc.com. I'm more interested in what I can do with the finished machine that spending the time building it from scratch. That being said, I will try to take some pictures of the kit and the build as I go so I can share with folks on this forum. Again thanks for the info and support I've already learned soo much from you guys.

    Router is in the Mounts!

Got the lead screws and anti backlash nuts installed on x and y axis. Went with a regular all thread for the z axis. Steppers are mounted and coupled. Build the stand and set the router in the mounts. Working feverishly on the electronics. I want to see this baby move! Couple of pics with the router. Should have some pics of the electronics tomorrow.
