Can anyone tell me where I can buy scrap metal like Aluminum or steel for machining in Austin, TX by the pound?

I tried calling couple of the guys in town like CMG recycling or Austin pipe co. They dont sell to small time customers.

Even locations in the surrounding areas like Round-rock or Georgetown is okay.

I buy cast aluminum wheels to do lost foam castings. You can build a foundry pretty cheap then do that and machine the parts out of nearly to size ingots.

Still waiting on some free time so that I will actually build my furnace :P

Thier not local to Austin but the ship UPS and its good stuff. You have to call to place the order. I'm in Gatesville, TX and I by from them several times a year.
