Bandit Servo retrofit - drive query

    So I have this machine.

I have schematics for it all. They have been copied at least once so some info is missing. There are 4 pages labelled driver. The last one seems to show the XY&Z boards. Trimpots, fuse, heatsink. On these pages are - - pulse inputs, ENAH, ENAL, FWD LIM, REV LIM, ON LIM, DIR, PHA 2, PHA C, PHB 2, PHB C, PHA 2, PHA 1 (I think - smudged copy), Drive signal, Tach. Hi PWR DN, LO PWR DN, OVC, and MOTOR (!). (and I haven't looked yet as to if and what of the 1st 3 pages applies to my machine)

I have Camsoft's plus. I've been told I can use the PS, drives and motors. (nuts)

I've been told to lose the tachs, and resolvers and get some diff. quad. encoders.

Hell, I don't even know what my question was.

Well, here's one. Since it looks like a bear to use these drives without hooking up something wrong and cooking something, I checked out AMC's site. What's an inexpensive source of their drives (new or used) for this application?

I'm going home for the day.

And, yes Nancy, I'm taking a box of homework with me.(nuts)

Lot more info needed, especially the drives, If you use the existing drives, you most certainly will require the tach's, otherwise the drives are not going to like it.
    Differential Encoders, yes. Resolvers, no.
Unless you want to save a buck and/or the drives are in superb shape. AMC, Copley Controls or Aerotech is a good way to go.
Model will depending on what motors you have.
Keep in mind that most manufacturers BLDC drives will operate Brushed motors equally well. I have done it many times.
The up side to this is if you ever replace a motor, you now have the option to use either BLDC or Brushed motor.
Other than new, eBay is a source.
