    Recommend some software please:)

    Hi all,

    I'm in the final stages of building my CNC router, and it's time to do some testing.
    At my university we use PRO/Engineer to make 3D drawings, and with this piece of software I'm also able to make STL files.

    The last thing I need now is some software that can take these STL files and make my Gecko drivers work

    What can you guys recommend?

    Cheap software = nice, free software = better

    Cheap, look at MeshCAM and Cut3D.

    Aerospace CAD CAM

    Hi all,

    Please recommend a reasonably priced CAD/CAM software package, that can be used for designing and manufacturing of parts and molds for small cars, and small airplanes etc.

    Will Rhino3d make a good candidate? can you easily make a profile curve for propeller and such?

    any recommendations?

    Rhino now do a cam add on which is not bad considering the cost.

    Is it 3 or 5 axis you need ?
