Post Free cad program that I can learn on?

Basically I've been told I should learn to draft parts in a CAD program instead of using geometry math and doing it by paper so I want to get started can I have some pointers on so in the end I can end up getting Alibre design.
Eh? Maintaining techniques is a must, thats why there is
    practice!

If you plan on buying Alibre, then download and learn with the free Alibre Xpress. www.alibre.com/xpress
