    Fanuc M140 Citizen Machine

    Hi.
Im only a carrier for an operator with this problem!

What function does M140 do, on a Swiss lathe type, Citizen with some sort of Fanuc controller?

    Regards,
    Kai

The "M140" command makes the "Z2" slide come forward to use the 3 tools located next to the sub spindle. This is a parameter position and will rapid to it. When you are done with those tools you will command an "M141" to send the slide home(back). When using the "M140" and indexing between the 3 tools the slide will NOT retract it will just slide over to the next tool called. This means you MUST retract the stock (Z-.05) before calling the new tool or you will break tools.
