Adding a laser head to a CNC Router

Hey all I have a cnc router based on a 6040T, It run by a Gecko G540, ESS Ethernet smooth stepper and Mach 4.

Id like to add this laser head found here: https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/30W-Laser-Module-Laser-Head-450nm-Blue-Lase-for-Laser-Engraving-Machine-Parts/224170532079?hash=item34319adcef:g:Cb4AAOSwUaFfbid o&frcectupt=true&autorefresh=true

What else do I need to get it work and be controlled by mach 4?

    Thanks

Be careful about doing that. Cutting lasers can be extremely dangerous in ways that are hard to predict. There's a reason commercial laser cutters are totally enclosed with safety interlocks that turn the beam off when a hatch is opened. If it happens to shine on anything reflective, it can send a beam right into your eye, if it's not fully enclosed. So the enclosure is a must. Here's some advice on the subject from Hackaday: https://hackaday.com/2016/06/29/tami...-laser-cutter/

My machine is actually already in a enclosure with acrylic windows so that’s a win

I also have a vacuum that extracts dust and excess mist from my sprayer

Good tip on fitting a cut-off switch of the door is opened tho.
