I am not familiar with the 16TA, so I'm not sure what good it does to know the mother board number. I would think the machine make and model number would be more helpful.

We have 18T controls on Hardinge and Daewoo lathes. On the Hardinge lathes you type in Z0 and hit Measure. On the Daewoos you type in Z0, BUT before you hit Measure under the screen, there is a "Tool Measure" button on the control that has to be pressed before hitting the soft key under 'measur'.

This is why I said the make and model may be important to know, although all 4 Daewoo models we have need the same sequence to set zero so model may not be important.

Not familiar with 16TA control, on my 21iT you press offset measure, but before doing so make sure you don`t have any tool offset called i.e. tool no shown on screen T0202 make sure it is T0200 or T0000 as this can cause the error as you describe.

procedure as follows clear tool offsets move to you Z0 position press offset measure then you can use Z0 (soft key) measure.

    Hope this helps.
