    Its a pretty simple project, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

    Replacing the plastic insert with one that won't break on a band saw table.

    No this isn't for my new saw. Its for the old wood cutting saw. I figured I should throw a new insert in it before moving it out of the shop into the garage. I busted the old plastic one a long time ago.

    CamBam helped me make a new dial for the vintage (early 1970s) Soviet kitchen scale. My dear aunt is still using it after all those years.



    The original picture on the dial was long gone, so I found a photo of a better preserved specimen and turned it into line art the best I could. Here is what it used to look like when the scale was new:
