Hey Guys

I'm using Acad 2000 and would like to get a line weight of .25" to similate cutter diamiter in my drawings.

The largest weight available seems to be 2.11mm.

So the question is how do I get 1/4" line weight?

Can you just offset the lines and fill it in with a solid hatch?

The help file specifically says not to use lineweight to represent an actual width, which is probably why they won't let you do it. If you want to see the offset while you're drawing, use the offset command. If you want it for plotted output, you can get any lineweight you want by using plot styles.

Use a polyline (two arcs). You can set the width using pe (polyline edit)

Now I can draw my parts and use pedit width to make sure my tool paths are doing what there told
