I scored a brand new Grizzly DRO on Craigslist. My problem is the x-axis scale is 48" long, too long for my mill. So I found a new Acu-Rite scale on eBay, installed it and.... NOTHING. So I called Acu-Rite and found out that my scale was designed for an OEM company. It uses a DB-9 plug, 8 wires. My Grizzly uses the same DB-9 plug, but only 6 wires. The person I spoke with at Acu-Rite wasn't very helpful, other than telling me that there is an adapter cable that might work. So I looked on eBay and found one for $50. I decided to call Grizzly and see if they could help me with the wiring on their scales, but they were no help. Does anybody have any thought as to where to start? Both scales are 5 volt, but I don't know which wire on the Acu-Rite to apply power to.
