    Pallet Change Speed

Is there a parameter that can be edited for the sec/rev. time on a horizontal cnc w/ pallet change.
I have a '94 model Saeilo Mach 3 Horizontal CNC with a Fanuc OM control and a turntable style pallet change. I am about 50 lbs. shy of the maximum weight limit for the tables. My problem is when I program a pallet change that there is so much momentum with the rotation that the whole turntable slams into the rubber bumpers. The book says it should be currently 10 sec/rev. I am setting the machine up for production and I don't think it would be a good thing to keep running the machine as is. I guess worst case, I set up a new fixture but with less parts to hold. I am currently holding 4 parts. 2 per tombstone. I've looked thru the books and did not find any such parameter to change this. Anybody out there have any ideas?

Are you sure the rotation is not hydraulic or pneumatic? If so, there should be flow-control valves and cushions to control this.

I agree with dcouper. as far as the "hunt", the cylinder cushions should be on the end caps of the cylinder. Usually a set screw with a jam nut. Its does not take much adjustment on these so make small adjustments to them.
