I've got the said machine and I'm looking to see which keep relay controls the alarm for an "EX514", which is the "Select T-No. in spindle"? It basically means that "The tool your trying to call is already in the spindle dummy". I'm pretty sure there is a relay you can turn off to disable the alarm and the machine will go on its merry way. Either that if someone cold tell me which parameter shows the current tool in the spindle, I could try to write a macro to skip the M6 if tool is already there. Thanks for any help guys.

Sorry 'bout that, it has a Fanuc 16i control.

i think that is a lacth an if it is i had a similar problem with a okuma with fanuc...
if you press the emergency in midle of a tool change with brake off you are able to move the torret but if you do this you have to disconect the machine and make the references again...but... the reference of the torret must start from the place that you choose for that you must change the parameter that force this (the number i dont have just now here) but this way must not be the better one and you have to be very cation becase the tool can stay not aligned with the center of spindle... but the machine is a latch or a vertical milling?

Forgot I had started this post. I almost started a similar topic. Its a horizontal mill. I still haven't figured this out.
