We have REALLY been fighting with X2 to get the tool paths we need even in 3 axis. We throw in the 4th and, well, we are just lost. We have a leased seat of Catia for modeling and considering using the CAM side for machining. Can someone out there compare with us?

We are looking at buying a 6-8 axis lathe (live tool, Y&C axis, sub spindle) and very worried we will be months trying to learn how to make a part with it. The positives are all there to use Catia because we already model with it so an all in one program would sure be nice but will it take 6yrs to learn it? How is the learning curve with both in the multi-axis levels?

Should we look another direction for software? We REALLY need a fast solution for simple jobs like our 2 axis lathe. Hell, we still cannot get a bar pull and cutoff right with X2.
