    Fanuc 18i_MB

    Dear experts on this Zone.

We have Millstar m/c with Fanuc 18i-MB.

The problem is when we are running part program CNC stops in the middle. And CNC gets hang up. We can not operate any button on CNC . I checked on mother board 3 red led is lights up ( SFAIL,SVALM,SEMG).
But we switch off and on again, it starts working about 10 to 30 minutes before it hangs up.

I need to know the possible causes to hang up in the middle of program. The part program on the machine is absolutely no problem. We did several component with same program.

    Your Advice is highly appreciated.

    Thanks with Best Regards

    Dinesh

    SVALM Servo alarm.
SEMG Lights when a system alarm occurs. The hardware has detected a failure in the system.
SFAIL Lights when a system alarm occurs. Used by the software to stop the system. Lights while boot is under way.

there are other LEDS there. please post a photo showing status of all LEDS.

you probably have servo related problem. is there a LED number showing on servo amps? or other LED numbers on mainboard?

either way you have hardware problem. you need to call Fanuc service
