We will be posting full details on Aspire on our website very shortly. Unfortunately we didnt get the web site complete in time for the Jamboree, but we will be posting full details shortly and emailing all our existing customers.

Sorry for the delay on the website, but the Jamboree was an immovable deadline for the launch so we had to go with it even though the website was not ready.

Brian Moran and James Booth introduced amazing new 3D sculpting and modeling software from Vectric called Aspire. Aspire is a CAD/CAM program for those wanting to create relief carvings. It combines incredible features, a new ease or use for 3D software, and a remarkable low price. It comes with 50 pieces of 3D clip art from James' VectorArt-3D collection. Aspire will be priced at $2,000. But will have an introductory price of $1,750 until the end of the year. For owners or PartWorks or V-CarvePro the introductory price will be $900. (Available today from ShopBot for PartWorks owners.)

My question is "Vcarve Pro" cost $599, so If a guy bought Vcarve Pro first, then bought Aspire at $900. He could save $251 off the Aspire introductory price of $1,750, If both are bought before the end of the year, just making sure to buy Vcarve Pro first?

$599 = Vcarve Pro
$900 = Aspire
________
$1499.00 = Vcarve Pro + Aspire

Here is a screenshot of Vectric Aspire, that was posted on the vectric forum (thanks AngelicDiablo).

Everything is in it's place like Vcarve Pro, with a few addons for the modelling.

Aspire is a stand alone program. The program does everything that VCP does plus it takes care of 3D modeling as well. Unlike Cut3d, you are able to model up from scratch the components needed to make a completed project. Plus any vectors that can be imported or traced, can be transformed into a 3D component.

It also lets you import 3d models from other apps, and combine them with what you create in Aspire, as well as edit them with "sculpting" tools. Once you get the hang of how Aspire works, it's pretty easy to get very good results, and even beginners can model objects that would be very difficult to model in traditional CAD and modeling packages.

While James Booth was making his closing remarks about the Aspire Software I was writing the check. From what I can see from it so far, and I have not really had a good chance to play with it yet, it is the equal of ArtCam, and alot more affordable. It actually has some features already in it that will not be in AC until it's next release. My hat is off to all the people at Vectric for creating this software, Way to go Guys!!!!!

Yeah, it's sort of a ArtCAM for the masses. Similar functionality, but easier to use, faster, and a lot less money.

Will Aspire let you slice the model like Cut3D does, so you can make thicker projects than the actual Z-axis max travel on your cnc machine?

Since you can Import from other modelling apps. is it possible to Export the model from Aspire, just curious.

No, but I was a beta tester.

Since you can Import from other modelling apps. is it possible to Export the model from Aspire, just curious.

No slicing (that I'm aware of), but you can export an .stl of your model.

The $900 upgrade price is a special price only available to VCarve Pro users who purchased the VCarve Pro software BEFORE Aspire was launched. For people who purchase VCarve Pro now instead of Aspire, the upgrade price will be the difference between the price of the two products + $50.

Aspire is a standalone program, but includes all the functionality of VCarve Pro and then adds fully integrated 3D functionality on top. We should have our web-site updated in the next few days with full details.
