axis goes plus or minus on it's own

    So check this out.
One of my axis will "randomly" go + or - when I jog regardless of if I'm jogging in the + or - direction.
For example, I'll briefly press the jog button for Z+ and the lead screw will spin in the +Z direction. I'll briefly press it again, and it will spin in the -Z direction. Press the Z+ button again and who knows....

I have a homebrew 3 axis mill with Xylotex driver and Mach 3 software on a PC. This is only a recent problem, and not a problem with the motor (i've switched cables to other motors) and not a problem with a specific axis on the driver board (i've switched pin connections in the mach 3 software).
By process of elimination, that leads me to believe it's the computer.?. Has anybody seen this before?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!

Sounds like loose wiring between you stepper drives and breakout board.
