Hi,

I'm after some offset bushings so that I can use them to adjust bearings left and right. Same as what the V bearing wheels use to adjust the play out of them.

I have search a few online places but can't seem to find any.

The size I'm after is.
OD 1/2" (to fit inside 1/2" bearing ID)
Length about 1 1/14"

Then have a Hex head so that you can put a spanner on and adjust.

Other than bugging someone to make me up a handfull of these out of hex shaped bar, there must be something like this already for sale.

Any ideas?

Peter, Would eccentric cam rollers fit into your project? Just a thought.

My Wadkin table saw uses them for alignment and height adjustment of the table and sliding table. It used to be a reasonably common alignment method in a lot of equipment. Simple to make if you have access to a lathe with a 4 jaw, but I don't think you'll find anything off the shelf and if you did odds are it would be metric.
