    travaling column mill

    Hi
    I need some help deciding If I should buy a Mazak VTC 41 or if I should buy a regular vertical mill ,can anyone who has run a vertical travaling column mill tell me if there are any drawbacks to this type of mill I would appreciate any advice

    Hallo!

    Two advantages of a traveling column machine:

    - machining on one side, while loading or unloading parts on the
    other side (saves time)
    - easy to set up pneumatic (hydraulic) chucks or tools
