Hi all,
I am helping out a friend who has a EmcoTurn CNC lathe with a Fanuc OT control. He wants to know if it can be programmed from windows98. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

By programmed, do you mean transfer programs from PC to Control?
If so Hyperterminal works, but it is a PIA compared to Terminal that came with Win3.1, if you can get hold of a copy, it runs on later Windows.
If you want details on cables etc, do a search either in the Fanuc forum or communications for RS232 etc, there must be hundreds of posts.
