Are you trying to load the program into the memory of the control? What communication software are you using?

Hello, The software that I have is dnc4u. And yes I am trying to load it into the memory of the controller, or send the program from the controller to the desk top.

Generally speaking, you'll put the machine in a DNC or TAPE mode, hit cycle start, then send the program from the PC. Assuming the communication parameters are set correctly and your cable is set up correctly, it should work.

Well, You should be able to push the following softkeys
to read into the control, select READ > EXEC or you can try READ, Type the 4 digit program number, O1234, then EXEC. This will ready the machine to accept what you are sending it. Your next step is to select the file on the PC and send it.

To punch a program, bring up the program like you are going to run it, or edit it, on the softkeys, press PUNCH > THIS. Again, the PC needs to be ready to receive the program from the machine before you send it.

This is all done in EDIT mode and the EDIT key enabled

Double check your communication parameters on the machine.. Do you have the manual?

    Try slowing the baud rate

Yes I do have the manual for the controller. I have checked the parameters and still get the same error.
