Long story short in high school I tried to build a CNC mill. I got in way over my head, but I did get at least a manual mill built. Last week I got the urge to finally CNC'ize it. Which would make all my lil projects alot easier.

I have scrounged around for 3 almost matching motors. What I would like some help with is there any open source unipolar motor drivers out there, that aren't PIC based? The ways and axis that I got from the local machine shop have .050 dials. So with my 200 step motors that ends up being .00025"/step. So I would be happy with just full stepping.

Motors (unipolar), once again these are what I have scrounged around for.
2X SST83D2C010 3V 4A/phase 31kg-cm (holding)
1X SST83D2C020 6V 2A/phase 36kg-cm (holding)

Thanks for any help or advice. Hopefully I am on the right track, and haven't gone nuts from to much research.
