Hello everyone.

I am installing a Xgate/BTR-V4 device onto our LC 40 twin turret lathe.
This lathe is of 1984 vintage and runs osp 3000 controller software.

The Xgate program is running on an old IBM thinkpad with the company standard XP professional loaded.

We installed the Behind Tape Reader board as per instructions. I've double checked the wiring and connections. The l.e.d. indicators on the BTR board work as advised in the manual.

We have been able to upload a test program successfully. It's the download from the machine to the pc that is causing a problem.

This uploads to the machine perfectly

And this is the output back to the pc.

Have a look at the attachment for a snapshot of the Xgate parametres.

I've mucked about with lots of settings trying to get this to work.

Any clues would be appreciated.
