Thumbs up A Drill Bit Reducer

Hi guys, I have a tiny problem. I purchased 2 reamers one, 7/8" and the other 3/4". I have a Microlux 7x14 and a MT-2 tailstock. I have a 1/2" chuck which I just purchased and slghtly used. The problem is the reamers are not reduced to 1/2" like my drill bits are and my only choice is to buy a 3/4" Chuck and arbor which is another $100. Is there a way besided machining my own adapter that I can buy this from a site. It must exist.

Can you chuck them up and turn them down to 1/2"? That would be more accurate than an adaptor I would think.

Ordered my 3/4" Drill Chuck. That should solve the problem. I have reamed with a chuck on my lathe and the holes came out great. These cylinders will have a better finish than me boring on my lathe.
