Just wondering if any drivers out there right now move full step for rapids and micro step for normal moves and precision positioning? I'm making a positioner that will have next to no load but requires an exact final position. I"m thinking i can full step much faster due to both processor requirements as well as motor limitations but once i'm within 1 full step switch to micro step to get it exactly where it needs to be. I could just stay in microsteps but i wanted faster transitions. Somebody let me know if this is possible or why it won't work.
