    Memory Batteries

I am purchasing gently used 1990 model BMC20 currently under power and will not be able to get power to it for 1-2 months after I take delivery. I have read other post were people have problems with the batteries dying and the machine not functioning after this happens. Should I be concerned for not supplying power to the machine for this amount of time? Is there any thing I can do to keep the batteries functioning during this time period?

Hi. I have 1990 Hurco BMC30 with CNC Ultimax 3. Machine was without power about 1 year and it was any problem to start it. So, good luck.

If your machine is an Ultimax 2 then the batteries could be an issue, If it is an Ultimax 3 then the software is on a hard disk so no worries, although there is a cmos battery on the CPU board. www.amtsinc.com
