    Anybody used a Renishaw HPMA?

I have a Gildemeister CTX420 with this tool setter arm. It is supposed to retract for when touching off tools and then raise back up by the associated M-codes. However, ours doesnt and appears to have a broken drive inside it. We've checked all connections to it and everything seems to be fine there. It can also manually be lowered; once lowered by hand will actually turn on by an indicated green LED on the tool setter probe. The machines controller a Siemens 840D will not accept the tool setters position and will alarm out. According to the literatur I have found this arm is powered and should not be able to be manually lowered.

Has anyone ever serviced one of these? Theres a cover down by where the arm pivots, perhaps a shear pin is broken inside there? Thanks for any input.
